Basketball Game Preview: Cimarron Bluejays vs. Inman Inman Teutons

The Cimarron Bluejays will face off against the Inman Inman Teutons at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with six consecutive losses for Cimarron and three for Inman.

Cimarron saw some tournament action on Monday. They fell 64-57 to Macksville. While losing is never fun, the Bluejays can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 228th, while the Mustangs are ranked 59th).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Cade Sonday, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Trace Kopper was another key player, putting up 14 points and seven assists.

Even though they lost, Cimarron was working as a unit and finished the game with 16 assists. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their assist total in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, Inman also suffered a loss in their last game, but this one to St. John by a score of 45-33.

Cimarron's defeat dropped their record down to 2-8. As for Inman, their loss dropped their record down to 2-7.
