Basketball Recap: Navajo Pine Comes Up Short

Navajo Pine had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They were beaten by the Magdalena Steers 67-20. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest loss the Warriors have suffered since January 30th.

Despite the loss, Navajo Pine still got an impressive performance from Mikayla Baker, who posted six points and four steals. Another player making a difference was Kylea Jumbo, who had six points and seven boards.

The win was the third in a row for Magdalena, bringing their record up to 3-0.

Looking ahead, Navajo Pine will look to takes advantage of their home court for the first time this season as they takes on Tse' Yi' Gai at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Magdalena, they will take on Alamo Navajo at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
