Baseball Game Preview: Madison-Grant Argylls vs. Sheridan Blackhawks

The Madison-Grant Argylls are packing up and heading out on the road for their first away game of the season: they will challenge the Sheridan Blackhawks at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Sheridan took a loss in their last matchup and will be looking to turn the tables on Madison-Grant, who comes in off a win.

Madison-Grant is headed out to face Sheridan after opening their season at home and giving their fans just what they were looking for. The Argylls never let Wes-Del get on the board and left with a 10-0 victory on Monday.

Levi Nelson was incredible, scoring two runs and stealing a base while going 2-for-3. Another player making a difference was Xavier Yeagy, who scored two runs and stole a base while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances.

Madison-Grant always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .516. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Wes-Del only posted an OBP of .222.

Sheridan had taken Indianapolis Kings down for two straight games at home, but that winning streak came to an end on Tuesday. The Blackhawks fell just short of Indianapolis Kings by a score of 3-1. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Blackhawks have suffered since April 27, 2024.

Sheridan saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Jack O'Land, who scored a run while going 1-for-2.

Everything went Madison-Grant's way against Sheridan in their previous meeting back in May of 2024, as Madison-Grant made off with a 10-0 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Argylls since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
