Basketball Game Preview: Stone Bridge Bulldogs vs. Park View Patriots

Two dominant guards in Kevin Reyes and Noah Calalang are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Stone Bridge Bulldogs will venture away from home to take on the Park View Patriots at 7:15 p.m. on Thursday. Stone Bridge knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past four matches -- so hopefully Park View likes a good challenge.

On Tuesday, Stone Bridge had just enough and edged Independence out 68-66.

Meanwhile, Park View was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They were outmatched by Woodgrove and fell 79-37. While losing is never fun, the Patriots can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Virginia basketball rankings (they are ranked 347th, while the Wolverines are ranked 159th).

Park View's defeat dropped their record down to 4-10. As for Stone Bridge, their win ended a five-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 6-3.

Everything came up roses for Stone Bridge against Park View in their previous matchup back in December of 2018, as the team secured a 72-27 victory. Will Stone Bridge repeat their success, or does Park View have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
