On Thursday Laurel Hill will have to hit the road after three straight games at home. They will venture away from home to challenge the Northview Chiefs at 5:00 p.m. Both teams took a loss in their last game, so they'll have plenty of motivation to get the 'W'.
Last Tuesday, Laurel Hill came up short against Central and fell 3-1. The defeat continues a trend for the Hoboes in their matchups with the Jaguars: they've now lost eight in a row.
Laurel Hill took a 1-0 lead headed into the second set, but sadly they lost the next two. After all that action, the final score was 20-25, 29-27, 25-12, 25-22.
Meanwhile, Northview was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They fell 3-1 to Jay.
Northview came into the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last two. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 17-25, 30-28, 25-21, 25-17.
Even though they lost, Northview kept the net locked down and finished the game with 11 blocks. That's the most blocks they've posted since was before the start of last season.
Laurel Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Northview, their loss dropped their record down to 1-5.
