Basketball Recap: Montgomery Bell Academy Takes Down Ranked Chattanooga Prep

On Saturday, Montgomery Bell Academy faced Chattanooga Prep in a battle between two of the state's top teams. The Montgomery Bell Academy Big Red walked away with a 57-45 win over the Chattanooga Prep Sentinels. 57 seems to be a good number for the Big Red as the team scooped up a victory with the same number of points in their previous game.

Despite the defeat, Chattanooga Prep saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Marcus Jones went 8 for 16 en route to 16 points and seven boards. The dominant performance gave Jones a new career-high in points. The team also got some help courtesy of Demarion Bowman, who posted eight points.
