Lakewood won the last time they faced Gibbs and Khalan Davis did his part to make sure it happened again. The Spartans claimed a resounding 28-0 win over the Gladiators for which the team can thank Davis, who rushed for 132 yards and a pair of TDs while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. He showed off some serious burst, cutting through the defense on one rush that went for 60 yards.

Lakewood's record now sits at 8-1. As for Gibbs, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 2-6.

Lakewood will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Osceola at 7:00 p.m. on the 31st. The Kowboys will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Spartans surely won't give up without a fight. As for Gibbs, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next contest, a 23-19 win against Bayshore on the 24th.
