Basketball Recap: Churubusco Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Patty Wiggs and Eryn Savieo

Churubusco lost against Garrett back in December of 2023 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Tuesday. The Churubusco Eagles took a 45-29 bruising from the Garrett Railroaders. The Eagles just can't catch a break and have now endured four losses in a row.

Eryn Savieo and Patty Wiggs certainly did their best on Tuesday to avoid the loss. Savieo posted six points, while Wiggs put up four points in addition to five rebounds and three steals. Wiggs is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed three or more in the last three games she's played.

Churubusco's defeat dropped their record down to 3-9. As for Garrett, their win ended a four-game drought on the road and puts them at 3-7.

Churubusco wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next game, a 52-40 victory against Prairie Heights on the 20th. Garrett has also already played their next match, a 53-31 loss against Fort Wayne Concordia Lutheran on the 19th.
