            Baseball Preview: River Ridge Timberwolves vs. Boscobel Bulldogs        
        
		
        
        
            River Ridge is 0-3 against Boscobel since May of 2019 but things could change  on Thursday. The Timberwolves are taking a road trip to  face off against the Bulldogs  at 4:30  p.m. Both come into the  contest bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
River Ridge gave up the first  runs on Tuesday, but they didn't let that get them  down. They walked away with  an   11-8  victory over Potosi/Cassville. The  win made it back-to-back  victories for the Timberwolves.
 Carter Copsey made a big impact no matter where he played. He  tossed three innings while giving up just two earned runs off   four  hits. He also  tossed a  walk, which is notable because River Ridge is 6-1 when he allows at  most  two  walks, but 2-3 otherwise. Copsey was also stellar in the batter's box,  going 2-for-5 with two  stolen bases, three  runs,  and two  RBI. He is  on a roll when it comes to  stolen bases, as he's  now  snagged  at least one in each of the last four games he's  played.

 In other batting news,  Cael Koenig was  excellent,  going 4-for-5 with two  RBI and one  double. Those  four  hits gave  him a new career-high.  Noah Copsey also deserves some recognition as  he  hit his first  double of the season.
 River Ridge  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. That's the most  hits they've managed all season.
 Meanwhile,  there's no place like home for Boscobel, who bounced back after a  loss on the road  on Friday. They walked away with  a   6-3  win over Southwestern  on Tuesday.
 River Ridge's victory was  their third straight on the road, which  pushed their record up to 8-4. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.3 runs on average over those games. As for Boscobel,  the  victory  got them back to even at 6-6.
