Softball Recap: Dover Comes Up Short

Dover came into this matchup off a tough six-run loss on Monday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of the Rondout Valley Ganders by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat the Dragons have suffered since April 15th.

Dover saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Daniella Drake, who went 2-for-3 with one RBI.

Dover's loss ended a three-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 6-8. As for Rondout Valley, they have been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 11-5 record this season.

Dover wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next matchup, a 14-2 defeat against Taconic Hills on the 13th. Rondout Valley has also already played their next game (against Poughkeepsie), but no score has been uploaded at the time of writing.
