Recap: Boling Bulldogs vs. East Bernard Brahmas
After a string of three wins, the Boling Bulldogs's good fortune finally ran out on Tuesday. They opened the new year with a less-than-successful 48-35 loss to East Bernard. Boling was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as East Bernard apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January of 2023.
East Bernard's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ashlynn Lemos, who scored 17 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Abby Hudgins, who scored eight points along with six steals and five assists.
Boling's defeat dropped their record down to 13-6. As for East Bernard, their victory was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 12-10.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Boling will take on Van Vleck at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for East Bernard, they will be playing at home against Brazos at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Brazos is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'.
