McCook not only won on Thursday, but they posted their biggest win since January 30th (when they won 71-25). They blew past the Norton Bluejays, posting a 73-33 victory. This was payback for the Bison, who suffered a 69-56 loss the last time these two teams met.

McCook got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Tripp Raile out in front who posted 15 points. Trey Tiller was another key player, putting up 11 points in addition to five boards and four steals.

McCook was working as a unit and finished the game with 13 assists. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Norton only racked up seven.

Despite the defeat, Norton saw an underclassman step up: sophomore Braylin Brooks earned eight points.

McCook has started the season off flawlessly and has a 2-0 record to show for it. The victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they've averaged 69.5 points this season. As for Norton, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

McCook didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next contest, a 68-66 win against Goodland on the 12th. As for Norton, they have also already played their next matchup, a 71-55 victory against Burlington on the 12th.
