Soccer Recap: St. Catherine's Starts Season with Victory Against Veritas School

St. Catherine gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Thursday. They never let the Veritas School Lions get on the board and left with a 1-0 win. The Saints' winning goal came courtesy of Nicole Makris.

Veritas School's defeat dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. St. Catherine's will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Steward at 4:30 p.m. on March 20th. Veritas School will also get a bit of a break before their next matchup: they'll face off against Cristo Rey at 6:00 p.m. on March 17th.
