Baseball Recap: Summerville Makes It Four in a Row on the Road

Summerville hadn't done well against Calaveras recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. Summerville didn't even let Calaveras on the board, marking Summerville's second-straight 11-0 shutout. Surprisingly, this marked the fifth straight game that the away team has come away the victor.

Kane Hall was excellent, scoring three runs while going 1-for-3. He continues to improve, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. Evan Roberson also deserves some recognition as he hit his first double of the season.

Summerville pushed their record up to 6-8-1 with the victory, which was their fourth straight on the road. The team dominated over that stretch too, winning by an average of 8.5 runs. As for Calaveras, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-10.
