Baseball Recap: Queen's Grant Comes Up Short

Queen's Grant was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fourth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 18-7 to the Piedmont Community Charter Patriots. The Stallions were not able to make up for their loss to the Patriots from their previous meeting back in May of 2024.

Josue Abreu made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and scored two runs and stole Two bases. while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances. Those two runs gave him a new career-high.

Queen's Grant's defeat dropped their record down to 0-3. As for Piedmont Community Charter, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-3.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Queen's Grant will take on Forest Hills at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Piedmont Community Charter, they will face off against Langtree Charter Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Monday.
