Basketball Recap: Bow Comes Up Short

After flying high against Pelham last Friday, Bow came back down to earth. The Bow Falcons fell just short of the Pembroke Spartans by a score of 67-64 on Tuesday. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Spartans this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 78-75 back in January.

Bow's defeat dropped their record down to 10-5. As for Pembroke, the win (which was their tenth in a row) raised their record to 14-1.

Coming up, Bow is taking a road trip to square off against Plymouth at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Bow is facing Plymouth at the right time seeing as Plymouth is stuck on a 19-game losing streak. As for Pembroke, they will square off against Coe-Brown Academy at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Pembroke knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Coe-Brown Academy likes a good challenge.
