Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Marathon). Their defense stepped up to hand the Moravia Blue Devils a 10-0 shutout on Wednesday. The final result isn't all that surprising considering Marathon's considerable advantage in MaxPreps' New York soccer rankings (they are ranked 28th, while Moravia are ranked 253rd).

The win made it two in a row for Marathon and bumps their season record up to 7-0-1. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they scored 13 goals over those two matchups. As for Moravia, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-8-1.
