Baseball Recap: Lawrence County Wildcats vs. Lewis County Panthers
Lawrence County gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Lewis County Panthers as the Lawrence County Wildcats made off with a 19-1 win. The Wildcats haven't had any issues with the Panthers recently, as the game was their third consecutive victory against them.

Kaden Short was a major factor no matter where he played. He tossed three innings while giving up no earned runs off four hits. The dominant performance also gave him a new career-high in strikeouts (four). He was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 2-for-3.
In other batting news, Lawrence County got a massive performance out of Beck Chasteen, who went a perfect 2-for-2 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run. Truitt Kidd was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three RBI and one double.
Lawrence County always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .641. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Lewis County only posted an OBP of .400.
Looking ahead, Lawrence County will take on Summit at 6:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Lewis County, they will square off against East Hickman County at 6:30 p.m. on March 6th.
