Softball Recap: Waseca Victorious

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Maple River, Waseca was happy to have turned things around on Friday. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Sibley East Wolverines a 10-0 shutout. The high-scoring effort was just what the Bluejays needed considering they were shut out in their previous matchup.

Waseca's victory bumped their record up to 5-12. As for Sibley East, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-12.

Waseca didn't take long to hit the field again: they've already played their next game, a 7-4 loss against Waterville-Elysian-Morristown on the 16th. As for Sibley East, they are taking a road trip to take on Belle Plaine at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. The Tigers' pitching crew has only allowed 3.8 runs per game this season, so the Wolverines' hitters will have their work cut out for them.
