Soccer Recap: Walnut Takes a Loss

After flying high against Pomona last Thursday, Walnut came back down to earth. The Walnut Mustangs fell 2-0 to the Claremont Wolfpack on Thursday. It was the first time this season that the Mustangs let down their fans at home.

Walnut was without their leading scorer, Oscar Feria, in Thursday's matchup. With Feria sitting this one out, Frank Tang got some extra time on the pitch (80 vs. his season average of 51.2).

Walnut's loss dropped their record down to 6-1-2. As for Claremont, the win got them back to even at 2-2-1.

Coincidentally, both will both be playing Bishop Amat the next time they take the pitch. Claremont will head out to face Bishop Amat at 5:30 p.m. on Monday, while Walnut will head out to face them at 5:30 p.m. on January 2, 2025.
