It was a good run, but Purchase Line unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-match winning streak on Thursday. They came up short against the West Shamokin Wolves, falling 3-0. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Wolves this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-0 back in September.

The loss didn't mean the game wasn't competitive: West Shamokin scored at least 17 points in every set. The match finished with set scores of 25-18, 25-20, 25-17.

Rylee Mahaffey paced Purchase Line's offense, picking up 12 kills. Mahaffey got some help from Bella Cessna and her 26 assists.

Purchase Line's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for West Shamokin, they pushed their record up to 16-1-1 with the victory, which was their 16th straight on the road dating back to last season.
