Basketball Recap: St. Helens Takes a Loss

St. Helens was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They took a 61-53 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Hillsboro Spartans. The Lions were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Spartans apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.

St. Helens' loss dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Hillsboro, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

A feisty cat fight will be fought when the St. Helens Lions challenge the Yamhill-Carlton Tigers at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hillsboro, they will finish 2024 at home by hosting Willamette at 4:00 p.m. on December 27th.
