Basketball Game Preview: Seton Catholic Central Knights vs. Schroon Lake Wildcats

The Seton Catholic Central Knights will venture away from home to square off against the Schroon Lake Wildcats at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Seton Catholic Central hasn't scored more than 25 points for three games straight, a trend the squad is eager to reverse.

Last Wednesday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Seton Catholic Central beat Willsboro Central 25-21.

Seton Catholic Central got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Dayline Willette out in front who posted six points along with ten rebounds and three blocks. Chloe Lawliss was another key player, putting up eight points in addition to seven boards and five steals.

Meanwhile, Schroon Lake suffered their biggest defeat since January 30, 2024 on Tuesday. They lost 48-22 to Moriah. The Wildcats haven't had much luck with the Vikings recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.

Seton Catholic Central's victory bumped their record up to 6-4. As for Schroon Lake, their loss dropped their record down to 5-4.

Seton Catholic Central came up short against Schroon Lake in their previous meeting back in December of 2024, falling 32-24. Can Seton Catholic Central avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
