Recap: Elwood Panthers vs. Mississinewa Indians

The Elwood Panthers's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Saturday after their fifth straight loss. They were outmatched by Mississinewa at home and fell 41-10. Elwood has struggled against Mississinewa recently, as their game on Saturday was their sixth consecutive lost matchup.

Mississinewa's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Amiyaa Parr-Inman led the charge by dropping a double-double on ten points and 12 rebounds. Another player making a difference was Jaci Crick, who scored 11 points along with six rebounds and three steals.

Elwood has not been sharp recently, as they've lost ten of their last 11 contests, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-16 record this season. As for Mississinewa, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-9.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Elwood will challenge Marion at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Marion comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last six games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse. Mississinewa on the road again on Tuesday and play against Frankton at 7:30 p.m. on January 23rd. Hopefully Frankton focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 last Friday.
