Baseball Game Preview: Mountain View Toros vs. Skyline Coyotes

For the second straight game, Mountain View will face off against Skyline. Mountain View will venture away from home to take on Skyline at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday.

Mountain View's hitters will try to repeat the strong performance they gave on Tuesday, when they got past Skyline's usually-dominant pitching crew. Mountain View put the hurt on Skyline with a sharp 12-6 victory. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Toros.

Justice Yanke looked comfortable as he pitched two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. That's the fewest hits he has allowed since back in February of 2024.

On the hitting side, the team relied heavily on Brock White, who scored two runs while getting on base in three of his four plate appearances. He is becoming a predictor of Mountain View's success: when he posts at least two runs the team is undefeated (and 3-8 when he doesn't). Talon Welker was another key player, scoring two runs while going 1-for-3.

Skyline dropped their record down to 9-5 with the defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Mountain View, their win bumped their record up to 6-8.
