Basketball Recap: Beaverton Comes Up Short

Beaverton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight defeat. They took a 57-45 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Pinconning Spartans. While losing is never fun, the Beavers can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Michigan basketball rankings (they are ranked 582nd, while the Spartans are ranked 281st).

Beaverton's loss dropped their record down to 5-10. As for Pinconning, they pushed their record up to 14-2 with the win, which was their third straight at home.

When Beaverton and Pinconning next hit the court, they'll be up against teams who recently just can't seem to lose. Beaverton will try to stop Gladwin's six-game winning streak when the meet at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Pinconning will take on Standish-Sterling and their 11-game winning streak at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
