Football Recap: Westerville North Comes Up Short

Westerville North extended their losing streak to three on Friday, dropping them down to 1-3. They were beaten by the St. Xavier Bombers 28-0. While losing is never fun, the Warriors can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Ohio football rankings (they are ranked 115th, while the Bombers are ranked fourth).

As for St. Xavier, the win keeps them at an undefeated 4-0. That looming 28-0 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.

Among those leading the charge was Jackson Frey, who threw for 143 yards and two TDs, and also rushed for 49 yards.

Looking ahead, Westerville North will face off against Hayes at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The Warriors will be up against the Pacers' rather soft defense (which has allowed 30.5 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive performance. As for St. Xavier, they will take on Archbishop Moeller at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The contest will give the Bombers their first taste of in-conference action this season.
