Basketball Recap: Spring Hill Takes a Loss

Spring Hill was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their sixth straight loss. They took a hard 71-56 fall against the Marshall County Tigers. Sadly, that's the second time they've come up short against the Raiders this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 79-40 back in December of 2024.

Marshall County's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Jayce Harney, who went 5 for 9 on his way to 14 points along with five rebounds and three steals. Jamahl Gentry was another key player, going 5 of 10 en route to 17 points.

Spring Hill's defeat dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Marshall County, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 11-4.

Spring Hill wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next match, a 56-29 loss against Warren County on the 14th. Marshall County has also already played their next contest, a 73-63 defeat against Tullahoma on the 14th.
