Baseball Game Preview: Susquenita Blackhawks vs. East Juniata Tigers

The Susquenita Blackhawks will face off against the East Juniata Tigers at 4:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Susquenita's pitching crew has only allowed 3.3 runs per game this season, so East Juniata's hitters will have their work cut out for them.

On Monday, Susquenita came up short against Hanover and fell 9-5.

Galen Wenrich made the most of his time at bat despite the final result and went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases, two runs, and two RBI. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Jacob White, who went 2-for-3 with one stolen base and one RBI.

Meanwhile, East Juniata didn't have quite enough to beat Juniata on Tuesday and fell 4-3. The Tigers haven't had much luck with the Indians recently, as the team has come up short the last seven times they've met.

East Juniata saw five different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Kelton Bonnell, who got on base in all four of his plate appearances with one home run, one stolen base, and two RBI.

Susquenita's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 7-3. As for East Juniata, their loss dropped their record down to 3-8.

Susquenita took their win against East Juniata in their previous meeting back in March by a conclusive 19-0 score. Will the Blackhawks repeat their success, or do the Tigers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
