Basketball Recap: Dynamic Duo of Aiden Curry and Jaden Lindsay Lead Auburndale to Victory

There's no place like home for Auburndale, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Saturday. They blew past the Winter Haven Blue Devils 66-46 on Monday. The Bloodhounds have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won four contests by 20 points or more this season.

Auburndale was led to victory by Jaden Lindsay and Aiden Curry. Lindsay went 8 of 19 en route to 23 points and seven rebounds, while Curry almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. The match was Lindsay's third in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of JOHAN DUNCAN, who posted six points.

Auburndale was working as a unit and finished the game with 18 assists. That's the most assists they've managed all season.

When it comes to explaining why Winter Haven lost, don't look at Troy Boswell Jr. Despite the final result, he dropped a double-double on 24 points and ten rebounds. Boswell Jr is on a roll when it comes to boards, as he's now pulled down nine or more in the last three games he's played. Another player making a difference was Gavin Hall, who put up 13 points.

Auburndale's win bumped their record up to 6-3. As for Winter Haven, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-5.

Auburndale didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next game, a 70-34 victory against Kathleen on the 17th. Winter Haven will take on Boyd County in a holiday battle at at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Boyd County knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past six contests -- so hopefully Winter Haven likes a good challenge.
