The Holland Christian Maroons will take on the Forest Hills Eastern Hawks at 6:00  p.m.  on Thursday. Both come into the  matchup bolstered by wins in their previous  matches.
Holland Christian will bounce into Thursday's   game after  beating Zeeland West, who they had gone 1-8 against in their nine prior meetings. The Maroons had just enough and edged out the Dux  6-5. The  victory was some much needed relief for the Maroons as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Meanwhile, Forest Hills Eastern entered their tilt with Forest Hills Central on Monday with two consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with three. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Rangers  a   10-0 shutout. The Hawks might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 16 contests by six  runs or more this season.
 Raena Scully was a  major factor no matter where she played. On the mound, she  kept things locked down with   no  earned runs or hits while striking out ten over six innings pitched. Scully was also big at the plate,  going 3-for-4 with one  triple, one  run,  and one  RBI. That's the most  hits  she has posted  over her last seven  matchups.
 In other batting news,  Emilee Nowicki was a standout: she got on base  in three of her four plate appearances with one  home run, three  runs,  and one  stolen base.  Sophia Tabin was another key player,  going 2-for-4 with three  RBI, one  triple,  and one  run.
 Forest Hills Eastern  kept the outfield on their toes and  finished the game with 11  hits. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Forest Hills Central didn't  got any hits.
 Forest Hills Eastern pushed their record up to 21-9 with the  win, which was their third straight  at home. Those  home  victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.7 runs on average over those games. As for Holland Christian, their win bumped their record up to 9-12.
 Holland Christian took their  victory against Forest Hills Eastern  in their previous meeting  back in May of 2024 by a conclusive  22-11 score. Will the Maroons repeat their success,  or do  the Hawks have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
