Basketball Game Preview: Bloomfield Warhawks vs. Central Golden Eagles

The Bloomfield Warhawks just played yesterday, but they'll still head out to face the Central Golden Eagles at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Both come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.

Bloomfield will bounce into Friday's game after beating Simsbury, who they had gone 0-3 against in their three prior meetings. Bloomfield walked away with a 54-45 win over Simsbury on Thursday. Given the Warhawks' advantage in MaxPreps' Connecticut basketball rankings (they are ranked eighth, while the Trojans are ranked 101st), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, Central waltzed into their contest on Tuesday with four straight wins... but they left with five. They blew past the Hurricanes, posting an 89-40 victory. The Golden Eagles have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won seven matches by 20 points or more this season.

Bloomfield pushed their record up to 17-2 with the win, which was their 11th straight on the road dating back to last season. As for Central, their victory bumped their record up to 11-3.
