On Monday, the Davidson Day Patriots beat the Miller School of Albemarle Mavericks 72-65. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Patriots.

Several Mavericks players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Ryan Crotty, who posted 19 points and three steals. Crotty's afternoon made it six games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylen Dyer, who scored 12 points and six assists.

Davidson Day has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a nice bump to their 17-12 record this season. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they now have a losing record at 9-10.

Davidson Day will look to defend their home court on Thursday against Victory Christian Center at 7:30 p.m. Victory Christian Center will roll in looking for their 11th straight win, something Davidson Day surely won't give up without a fight. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 78-31 victory against The Covenant on the 21st.
