Football Recap: Chapin Takes Loss Despite Strong Efforts from Jessup Boulware and Tyler Black

Chapin was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their fifth straight defeat dating back to last season. They lost 45-22 to the Newberry Bulldogs. On the bright side, the 22- point performance marked the Eagles' highest-scoring game to date.

Despite the loss, Chapin had strong showings from Tyler Black, who threw for 271 yards and a pair of TDs, and Jessup Boulware, who picked up 147 receiving yards and one touchdown.

Chapin's defeat dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Newberry, the victory keeps them at an undefeated 4-0.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Chapin will host Summerville at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Newberry, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Fairfield Central at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
