Basketball Recap: Hibriten Comes Up Short

Hibriten was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They lost 61-37 to the T.C. Roberson Rams. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 34-11.

T.C. Roberson's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was LaRon Mills, who went 9 of 19 on his way to 19 points and six rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Joemar Darity, who went 6 of 9 on his way to 13 points and four steals.

Hibriten's defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for T.C. Roberson, they moved to 4-6 with that victory, which also ended their five-game losing streak.

Hibriten didn't take long to hit the court again: they've already played their next matchup, a 67-54 loss against Bessemer City on the 27th. As for T.C. Roberson, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next contest, a 70-61 defeat against Freedom on the 27th.
