Montrose headed into their last contest having not scored more than one goal for four straight, but Grand Junction let them put that streak behind them. The Red Hawks beat the Tigers by a goal, winning 4-3. The win continues a trend for Montrose in their matchups with Grand Junction: they've now won eight in a row.

Meanwhile, Grand Junction Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They came up short against Glenwood Springs, falling 5-0.

Grand Junction Central's defeat dropped their record down to 1-10. As for Montrose, the victory got them back to even at 5-5-2.
