It was a good run, but Austin Waldorf unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Friday. They took a blow against the Valor Preparatory Academy Knights, falling 77-42. The Roadrunners were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 48-19.

Bennett Herman had a dynamite game for Valor Preparatory Academy, going 11 of 15 en route to 22 points and eight rebounds. That's the most points Herman has posted since back in November of 2023. Connor McFarling was another key player, going 6 for 9 on his way to 12 points and six boards.

Austin Waldorf's defeat was their first in the district, dropping their district record down to 2-1 and their overall record down to 11-8. As for Valor Preparatory Academy, their victory was their 13th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 16-3.
