Basketball Recap: Two Rivers Takes a Loss

Two Rivers was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their eighth straight loss. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting the Perryville Mustangs an easy 63-42 win. The Gators were not able to make up for their defeat to the Mustangs from their previous meeting back in January of 2022.

Two Rivers' loss dropped their record down to 1-13. As for Perryville, they moved to 1-8 with that victory, which also ended their nine-game losing streak.

Two Rivers will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Guy-Perkins at 7:00 p.m. on January 2, 2025. As for Perryville, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against Bigelow at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Perryville is facing Bigelow at the right time seeing as Bigelow is stuck on a five-game losing streak.
