Basketball Game Preview: Unity Reed Lions vs. Justice Wolves

The Unity Reed Lions and the Justice Wolves will round out the year against one another at at 1:00 p.m. on Monday. Given that both suffered a loss in their last games, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this game.

Unity Reed will head into Saturday's match out to bounce back: they won a close one the last time they played, but unfortunately they suffered a serious change of fortune on Saturday. They were dealt a 62-32 defeat at the hands of Ballou. While losing is never fun, the Lions can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 301st in Virginia, while the Knights are ranked 15th in District of Columbia).

The loss doesn't tell the whole story though, as several players had good games. One of the most active was Ralph Oshokoya, who posted eight points in addition to 12 boards and five blocks. He is on a roll when it comes to blocks, as he's now posted two or more in the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Russell Robinson, who had ten points and eight rebounds.

Meanwhile, Justice was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They fell 65-54 to Loudoun County.

Unity Reed's defeat dropped their record down to 4-6. As for Justice, their loss dropped their record down to 1-7.
