Softball Recap: Deer Park Extends Winning Streak to Seven

Deer Park proved they can win big last Tuesday (they won by 11) and on Friday they proved they can win the close ones too. They narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Clear Creek Wildcats 5-4. The Deer have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Wildcats, too.

The win was the seventh in a row for Deer Park, bringing their record for this year to 12-4. They've had to fight for that success though, as they only beat their opponents by an average of 3.86 runs across that stretch. As for Clear Creek, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 7-3 record.

Meanwhile, Clear Creek (ranked 78th) will meet Clear Falls (ranked 494th) at 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Deer Park's pitching crew has only allowed 3.6 runs per game this season, so Clear Creek's hitters will have their work cut out for them.
