Metamora is a perfect 10-0 against Dunlap since February of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. The Redbirds will be playing at home against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. The timing is sure in Metamora's favor as the squad sits on 15 straight wins at home (dating back to last season) while Dunlap has been banged up by four consecutive losses on the road.

On Saturday, even if it wasn't a dominant performance, Metamora beat Mahomet-Seymour 65-61.

The home team had won the previous four meetings between Dunlap and Washington, and Washington kept the tradition alive. The Eagles took a 61-51 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Panthers on Tuesday. While losing is never fun, the Eagles can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Illinois basketball rankings (they are ranked 237th, while the Panthers are ranked 39th).

Metamora's victory bumped their record up to 13-5. As for Dunlap, their defeat dropped their record down to 5-9.

Metamora strolled past Dunlap in their previous matchup back in February of 2025 by a score of 55-40. Will the Redbirds repeat their success, or do the Eagles have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
