Football Game Preview: Roncalli Catholic Crimson Pride vs. Louisville Lions

The Roncalli Catholic Crimson Pride are taking a road trip to take on the Louisville Lions at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Roncalli Catholic's offense hasn't had much luck over their past three games, but Friday's matchup will give them a chance to turn things around.

Roncalli Catholic is headed into the contest out to prove that what happened against Boys Town on Friday (when they were outscored in every quarter) was just a minor bump in the road. The Crimson Pride came up short against the Cowboys, falling 31-6.

Roncalli Catholic didn't go easy on the quarterback and picked off two passes before the game was over. In fact, those interceptions all came courtesy of defensive juggernaut James Bohnenkamp.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Louisville duked it out with Gross Catholic on Friday. The Lions were outmatched by the Cougars and fell 37-0.

Louisville's loss dropped their record down to 2-6. As for Roncalli Catholic, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-5.

Roncalli Catholic strolled past Louisville when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a score of 47-28. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Crimson Pride since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
