With a playoff win on the line, Bangs rose to the challenge on Friday. They beat the Hawley Bearcats by the very same score they won with in their prior game: 17-7. The victory was nothing new for the Dragons as they're now sitting on ten straight.

The team relied heavily on Julianna Etheridge, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. That home run was her first of the season. Another player making a difference was Neeley Bradley, who went 2-for-3 with three runs.

Bangs' win was their 16th straight at home dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 22-6. The home victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 3.9 runs on average over those games. As for Hawley, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 13-15.

The teams didn't have to wait long for a rematch: the Bearcats beat Bangs by a score of 7-6 on Saturday.
