Basketball Recap: Standing Rock Comes Up Short

Standing Rock was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their 16th straight defeat dating back to last season. They took a blow against the Des Lacs-Burlington Lakers, falling 79-37. If the Warriors were looking for revenge after losing 60-30 to them when the teams met, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Standing Rock's loss dropped their record down to 0-6. As for Des Lacs-Burlington, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 6-2.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Standing Rock and New England will round out the year against one another at at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Des Lacs-Burlington, they will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Trenton at 7:00 p.m. on January 3, 2025.
