Baseball Recap: Teton Timberwolves vs. South Fremont Cougars

Teton had lost three straight at home, but on Tuesday they dropped their record down to 2-14 to make it four. They lost 12-6 to the South Fremont Cougars. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Cougars this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 3-2 last Tuesday.

Luke Nelson was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one triple, one run, and one RBI.

As for South Fremont, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 12-12. Those victories came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 2.7 runs on average over those games.

On South Fremont's side, Jordan Hammond made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched five innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. Hammond has been nothing but reliable: he hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-5 with three RBI and one run.
