Volleyball Game Preview: Fresno Christian Eagles vs. Parlier Panthers

After both having extra time off, the Fresno Christian Eagles and the Parlier Panthers will shake off the rust and duke it out at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Considering both teams were shutout in their prior games, the pair is probably coming into this one with something to prove.

Fresno Christian is probably headed into the matchup with a chip on their shoulder considering Reedley just ended the team's three-game winning streak last Thursday. They came up short against the Pirates, falling 3-0. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Eagles have suffered since March 27th.

While Fresno Christian had to settle for second, they sure made a game of it, scoring at least 18 points in every set they played. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-21, 25-19, 25-18.

Meanwhile, it was a proper cat-fight when Parlier took on Wonderful College Prep Academy last Tuesday. The Panthers lost 3-0 to the Lions.

The final score came out to 25-17, 25-17, 25-14.

Parlier's loss was their first in the league, dropping their league record down to 4-1 and their overall record down to 4-13. As for Fresno Christian, their defeat dropped their record down to 8-22.

Fresno Christian beat Parlier 2-0 when the teams last played back in March of 2024. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Panthers have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
