Basketball Game Recap: First Coast Christian Knights vs. Covenant School of Jacksonville Warriors

The First Coast Christian Knights couldn't capitalize on their home-court advantage in their season opener. They were outmatched by Covenant School of Jacksonville at home and fell 62-28. First Coast Christian lost against Covenant School of Jacksonville in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 55-41 score last time.

Covenant School of Jacksonville had a senior duo take command as Adah Frazer dropped a double-double on 17 points and 12 steals and Jaquelyn Barnes scored 21 points. That makes it four consecutive games in which Barnes has scored at least 25% of Covenant School of Jacksonville's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Savanna O'Dell, who scored 4 points along with 8 steals.

First Coast Christian's loss dropped their record down to 0-1. As for Covenant School of Jacksonville, the win got them back to even at 2-2.

First Coast Christian will head out on the road to face off against Florida School for the Deaf & Blind at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Covenant School of Jacksonville, they will be playing at home against Old Plank Christian Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
