The Western New York Maritime Charter Commodores can finally bid farewell to their three-game losing streak thanks to their game on Thursday. They walked away with a 69-62 win over Christian Central Academy. The victory was just what Western New York Maritime Charter needed coming off of a 66-45 defeat in their prior matchup.

Jamanye Corbett continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 21 points. That makes it seven consecutive games in which he has scored at least 25% of Western New York Maritime Charter's points. Another player making a difference was Rey Mercado, who scored 13 points.

Western New York Maritime Charter's win ended a six-game drought at home dating back to last season and bumped them up to 2-10. As for Christian Central Academy, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 0-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Western New York Maritime Charter won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against South Park at 6:30 p.m. on January 12th.
