Football Recap: Hammond Starts Season with Loss at Home

Hammond unfortunately couldn't capitalize on their home-field advantage in their season opener. They received a blow on Friday as they fell 34-15 to the Denham Springs Yellowjackets. The loss continues a trend for the Tornadoes in their meetings with the Yellowjackets: they've now lost four in a row.

Terin Jones threw for 101 yards on six of 16 attempts. Reginald Monroe was his top target, picking up 64 receiving yards.

Hammond will take on Amite at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. As for Denham Springs, they will challenge Central at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
