Baseball Recap: Groveton Takes a Loss

Groveton was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their fourth straight loss. They lost 18-2 to the Gorham Huskies. The matchup marked the Eagles' lowest-scoring game so far this season.

Dylan Simino was cooking despite his team's loss, going 2-for-3 with two stolen bases and two runs.

Groveton's defeat dropped their record down to 1-4. As for Gorham, the victory was the tenth in a row (dating back to last season) for them, bringing their record up to 2-0.

We've got plenty of inter-league action coming up soon. Groveton is set to challenge their familiar foe Colebrook Academy at 4:00 p.m. on Thursday. Meanwhile, Gorham will square off against rival Woodsville at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
